Bluey's Best Day Ever at Disneyland

Showtimes, Wait Times, Food & Family Tips

Bluey's Best Day Ever debuted at Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre on March 22, 2026, and immediately became the most chaotic park opening since Galaxy's Edge. Opening day lines stretched from the theatre all the way back to Sleeping Beauty Castle — roughly half the length of the entire park. The line was cut for capacity before noon on day one. By day two (March 23), things had calmed down significantly, and by mid-week waits were much more manageable. Here's what we know so far and how to plan around it.

What Is Bluey's Best Day Ever?

It's a live stage show in the Fantasyland Theatre (not a ride). The theatre has been reimagined as Bluey's school fair. Bluey and Bingo appear on stage alongside live comedic performers and musicians. There are two rotating show versions that alternate throughout the day, each featuring different characters and moments from the series — including the Grannies, Chattermax, and Unicorse.

The show runs about 30–40 minutes. Between shows, the area stays open with interactive play installations including a life-sized Gnome Village and Fairy Garden. There is NO separate character meet-and-greet — the only way to see Bluey and Bingo is during the show.

    Showtimes

Current showtimes are 9:30 AM, 10:50 AM, 12:10 PM, 1:50 PM, and 3:10 PM — but check the Disneyland app as these may change. There is NO virtual queue. It's standby only.

On opening day the show order got mixed up (Show 1, Show 2, Show 1, Show 1, Show 2 instead of alternating), so don't assume you'll see both versions in order.

    Wait Times & Crowd Impact

Opening day (March 22) saw 2.5–3 hour waits with lines cut at capacity by 12:10 PM. The last four shows ran at double their intended capacity to accommodate demand. By March 23 (day two), operations had stabilized and waits dropped considerably.

Expect waits to continue settling over the coming weeks, but weekends will likely stay heavy as word of mouth spreads. The first show of the day (9:30 AM) had the best experience on opening day — it was the only show capped at desired capacity with actual dancing room. Later shows were overcrowded with the dance floor converted to seating.

Our tip: Arrive at the theatre at park opening, aim for the first show, and be prepared to sit rather than dance if you attend a later show. Check our [live crowd tracker](/) to see today's conditions before heading to the park.

    How Bluey Affects Fantasyland Crowds

Bluey has measurably impacted surrounding wait times. The area around It's a Small World, Matterhorn, and Storybook Land gets congested as the queue snakes through. On heavy Bluey days, nearby attractions may see artificially inflated wait times simply from foot traffic congestion, not increased demand for those rides.

We're tracking this in our crowd data — check the [crowd forecast](/predictions) to see how Bluey is affecting predicted scores for upcoming days.

    Food — Troubadour Tavern

Troubadour Tavern inside the theatre area is the main spot for Bluey-themed food. On opening day, walk-up ordering was shut down by 9:30 AM, and mobile order return times were gone for the entire day by 10:00 AM.

The Bluey sipper was initially only available at Troubadour, but has since expanded to other locations. One of the treats will give you (or your kid) a green tongue — fair warning.

If you want Bluey food, mobile order it first thing in the morning, even before you get in the show line. For more food strategy, check our [best food at Disneyland guide](/guides/best-food).

    Tips for Families

Strollers must be parked in the upper theatre area or near It's a Small World — they're not allowed in the event area.

Restrooms near Troubadour Tavern get congested — use the ones in Fantasyland or Toontown before entering.

Pack snacks, especially if you're waiting for a later show. The seating is fully shaded (open-air theatre) so heat isn't as bad as standing in the queue.

Some families were re-entering the queue immediately after the show ended by pretending to head to Troubadour — Cast Members have started managing this more actively.

The show works best for preschool through early elementary age kids, but there were noticeably more adults than children at some performances — Bluey's fanbase skews older than you'd expect. Check our [best rides for kids guide](/guides/best-rides-for-kids) for more family planning tips.

    How Bluey Affects Your Day

If you're NOT planning to see Bluey, be aware that Fantasyland will be more congested than usual, especially mornings. Plan to ride Fantasyland attractions in the evening instead.

If you ARE seeing Bluey, rope drop it — the first show has the best crowd-to-space ratio. Read our [rope drop strategy guide](/guides/rope-drop-strategy) for detailed arrival timing.

Either way, check our [live crowd tracker](/) before your visit to see real-time conditions and plan accordingly.
